Description:
The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, unit testing, documenting and maintenance of existing and new firmware and middleware projects.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the completion of designated software features. Help to identify possible obstacles (whether technical, schedule or design related), and propose appropriate solutions in collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure a successful resolution.
- Codes, develops unit tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains portions of software applications in the fingerprint biometrics domain.
- Participates in the estimation of new development tasks whilst adhering to existing software design, implementation, testing, documentation and quality control processes.
- Detect and predict code defects by peer reviewing of code, specification and/or observed product behaviour. Assess the importance, nature and relative priority of these bugs.
- May include maintenance and support of software build process and use of appropriate tools.
Requirements:
Essential
- Degree qualification in Computing or a related discipline or suitable relevant experience.
- Knowledge of low-level systems behaviour, such as memory management schemes, power management schemes, etc.
- Experience of relevant programming languages. Good knowledge of C and at least basic knowledge of C++ and Java programming languages is required.
Desirable
- Experience of mobile and/or embedded systems development.
- Experience of Mac/iPhone, Android or Symbian software development.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and electrical engineering.
- Experience of Microsoft Windows programming.

Responsibilities:
- Development of applications for mobile phones (Android, Windows Mobile, iPhone...)
- High technologies: fingerprint biometrics domain, cryptography, mobile technologies
- We work with global manufacturers of hardware (such as Lenovo, HP, Dell, Sony, Fujitsu etc.) and work with their prototypes, which are not yet on the market
- Independent work on assigned tasks
- Active participating in the SCRUM process
Requirements:
- University degree or high school experience with a focus on software development, preferably in computer science, mathematics. We are looking for experienced programmers as well as graduates.
- Good knowledge of C, C + + and Java.
- Advanced knowledge of English (regular meetings in EN, technical documentation, emails, team members in the U.S.).
- Knowledge of one of the Android system, Symbian, iPhone is recommended.
- Knowledge of programming for Microsoft Windows, Linux and / or Mac
